The TE segment provides telecommunication services, advanced technology solutions, network capacity and management, unified communications, cloud, security, industry solutions, integrated and monitoring services to government and large enterprise and business customers in Australia and globally.

The NIT&P segment consists of two segments: Global Networks and Technology (GN&T), and Product and Technology (P&T). The Telstra InfraCo segment provides telecommunication products and services delivered over its networks.

In addition the company has reduced the cost of goods sold as a percent of sales, selling, general and administrative expenses as a percent of sales and interest paid as a percent of sales. These improvements contributed to 14.22% net income growth from 1.69bn to 1.93bn.
