FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S VICTORIAN CHILDCARE PACKAGE
* Melbourne families in stage four lockdown will receive an additional 30 days of allowable absences from child care
* Parents will not be required to pay a gap fee when their children do not attend
* The government will continue to pay childcare subsidies
* Transition payments for Melbourne childcare providers will be increased from 25 to 30 per cent

* In regional Victoria, the government will provide an additional 30 absence days, as well as extending the gap fee waiver and out of school care payment
* The regional gap fee waiver is designed for children absent from care for coronavirus-related reasons
* Outside hours school care services in regional Victoria will be paid 15 per cent of their revenue in addition to the 25 per cent transition payment and the childcare subsidy
