Businesses are being supported to upskill and capitalise on opportunities to manufacture low carbon products, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Industry Support and Recovery Ben Carroll today announced applications are now open for theย Low Carbon Manufacturing Grant Program โ€“ย a Labor Government investment of around $7 millionto help Victoria meet exponential demand for low carbon technologies and products.

As Victoria works towards halving emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050, this initiative will help Victorian businesses become more competitive in a low carbon economy, while strengthening the stateโ€™s supply chain resilience and creating high-skilled jobs.

The program includes two streams. Theย Business Readiness Streamย will provide grants of up to $50,000 for small to medium sized manufacturers to access business services, advice or expertise to pivot towards low carbon and renewable energy supply chains.

Through theย Business Growth Streamย grants of between $50,000 and $250,000 will be available for businesses to purchase or develop new equipment, skills or technology to manufacture components and products that support the transition to net zero emissions.
