A prolonged US winter and heavy rain in Texas contributed to weaker than expected earnings in Boral’s biggest market in the three months to March 31.
FMG – FORTESCUE METALS – down 11 cents, or 2.4 per cent, at $4.57
Iron ore specialist Fortescue Metals shipped less product at a higher cost in the three months to March, following cyclone activity across its West Australian operations.
ILU – ILUKA – down 26 cents, or 2.2 per cent, at $11.60
Iluka Resources has been served with a class action alleging the mineral sands miner misled the market six years ago.
