Stocks making moves or news on the ASX at the close on Wednesday, August 29:

BLD – BORAL LIMITED – up 65 cents, or 10.1 per cent, at $7.07

Boral shares jumped after the building materials company announced it had lifted its full-year profit by nearly 50 per cent to $441 million.

BAL – BELLAMY’S AUSTRALIA – up 83 cents, or 7.5 per cent, at $11.96

Shares in infant formula maker Bellamy’s Australia rose after the company reported a full-year profit of $43.27 million – up from a loss of $809,000 a year earlier.

NBL – NONI B LIMITED – down 25 cents, or 7.4 per cent, at $3.11

Womenswear retailer Noni B reported a fivefold surge in full-year profit and is on track to boost future revenue to $1 billion a year following the acquisition of five brands from Specialty Fashion Group.

VAH – VIRGIN AUSTRALIA – down one cent, or four per cent, at 24 cents

Virgin Australia reported its sixth consecutive full-year loss of $681 million after impairments and tax adjustments, but the airline is optimistic about delivering a statutory profit in the next half.

PPT – PERPETUAL LIMITED – down 27 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $44.46

RHC – RAMSAY HEALTH CARE – up $1.18, or 2.1 per cent, at $58.16

Ramsay Health Care and investment and trustee group Perpetual Limited will post full-year results on Thursday.
