ANZ – ANZ BANK – up 11 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $29.10

CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK- up 43 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $76.10

NAB – NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK – up 6 cents, or 0.2 per cent, at $28.02

WBC – WESTPAC – up 2 cents, or 0.1 per cent, at $29.80

Banking shares continue to recover from recent sharp price declines.

BHP – BHP BILLITON – up 71 cents, or 2.1 per cent, at $33.86

RIO – RIO TINTO – up $1.15, or 1.4 per cent, at $80.91

Iron ore prices have risen and some investors believe copper has hit a bottom after recent sharp falls.

DMP – DOMINOS PIZZA – down $1.85, or 3.8 per cent, at $47.22

Yancoal has redeployed the majority of its 205 workforce from its Austar coal mine in NSW as the ASX-listed miner waits to discover whether it can reopen following a rock blast mid-May.
