Sydney Airport has announced a management shuffle with senior corporate counsel Karen Tompkins to replace Jamie Motum as company secretary.

The operator of Australia’s biggest airport, Kingsford Smith, said on Friday Ms Tompkins would also be joining Sylvie Dimarco and Gananatha Nayanajith Minithantri as one of three co-company secretaries of the company’s trust.

No further details were given about Mr Motum’s resignation.

Mr Motum was appointed Sydney Airport’s general counsel and company secretary in 2010.

Shares in Sydney Airport were worth $8.10 before trade on Friday, having climbed more than 20 per cent so far this year despite flagging an expected softening of passenger number growth in May.
