WiseTech Global shares (ASX: WTC) rebounded 6.4% to A$33.34 today, with a matching gain on the week that snapped the losing run at four weeks. The bounce will be welcome news for WTC bulls who have seen the share price fall back 51.36% since the turn of 2026, and 31% from August 25th into October 1st.
The rally reflects a combination of positioning repair and renewed appetite for Australian technology stocks, which have been catching a bid on the back of offshore strength. The ASX Info Tech sector added 4.45% into the weekend, highlighting the extent of buyers stepping back into growth.
Underneath the price action, the bull case has been repairing the earlier damage, with the company spending recent months overhauling its leadership and governance, with founder Richard White stepping down as executive chair in July, Raelene Murphy taking over as independent chair, Zubin Appoo installed as chief executive, and a new chief financial officer starting in late September with a mandate to sharpen reporting clarity and capital allocation.
Operationally, management is pushing a “fewer, deeper platforms” strategy, retiring its Clippership product and migrating customers to Transtream, whilst shifting CargoWise from seat-based to transaction-based pricing under its Value Pack model. Then there is the launch of VerifyWise, a compliance and supply-chain risk monitoring tool built on the FRDM.ai acquisition.
Full-year results delivered revenue growth of around 79%, powered by the e2open acquisition, and while guidance for FY27 points to slower top-line growth of 6% to 10%, the EBITDA margin target of 49% to 51% implies profit growth outpacing revenue as cost discipline and integration savings do more of the work. An aggressive AI-driven restructuring program has cut roles and reduced research and development spending as a share of revenue, reinforcing the margin story even as it muddies near-term earnings quality.

The Street View
Looking at analysts for clues, and the average price target of A$60.40 remains firmly bullish, implying potential upside of ~80% from today’s close. From a technical perspective, the setup remains bearish, with WiseTech’s share price below its 50-day moving average of A$36.95, which itself sits below the 200-day at A$43.38. That said, trend-strength readings are easing from elevated levels, which fits a pattern of sellers losing momentum and opportunistic buyers stepping in. The same can be seen in the RSI, which has cooled from oversold readings to a neutral 47.2. None of this changes the fundamental or macro picture, yet that doesn’t mean we should ignore them either.
A sustained bounce above the 50-day average would be the clearest technical signal that momentum may be shifting, while evidence that FY27 margin guidance is tracking, and that restructuring charges are fading, would validate the fundamental case. For the bears, the margin uplift depends heavily on execution, and the stock’s high beta means any reversal in broader risk appetite or tech sentiment could unwind today’s gains quickly.
Snapping a four week losing rally ahead of the fifth is a small win for bulls, and one which they will be looking to turn into a platform for a more sustained reversal. Expect the macro backdrop and yields to continue to play a key role in what happens next.
