EBITDA rose by 8% to A$1,725 million, while net profit climbed 7% to A$514 million. Earnings per share improved by 6% to 106.7 cents. Looking ahead, Sonic Healthcare has confirmed its FY26 EBITDA guidance range of A$1.87–1.95 billion on a constant currency basis, projecting growth of up to 13% compared to FY25. Year-to-date statutory revenue as of October 2025 has grown by 17%, with organic revenue up 5%, supported by recent acquisitions and contract wins.
A key strategic move was the completion of the acquisition of LADR Laboratory Group in Germany. This deal, valued at €423 million, was partly financed through the issuance of new Sonic shares. LADR, recognized as one of Germany’s top five medical laboratory groups, is expected to contribute to immediate earnings per share accretion and deliver strong returns after synergies are realized.
The company’s future strategies include sustaining organic growth through innovation in pathology and diagnostics, as well as pursuing further targeted acquisitions. Management is concentrating on cost control, boosting earnings per share, and capitalizing on the value from recent acquisitions. Sonic Healthcare also intends to maintain a progressive dividend policy, underpinned by consistently strong cash flows.
The markets will be watching closely to see if Sonic Healthcare can maintain this momentum. The company expects first-half weighting for FY2026 earnings to align with historical patterns, following an atypical FY2025.
Sonic Healthcare’s recent surge reflects renewed confidence, but the year-to-date underperformance underscores the challenges that remain. The company’s ability to execute its growth strategy and integrate acquisitions effectively will be crucial in determining whether it can sustain this positive trajectory.
