Shares in vitamins producer Blackmores have been placed in a trading halt before a capital raising.

The company says it has requested the suspension until it announces the completion of an institutional placement and a share purchase plan.

The Sydney-based firm in February reported a 46 per cent plunge in first-half profit and flagged trouble because of the coronavirus pandemic.
