Australia’s share market has finished lower, and dropped for the fourth consecutive week, after US markets fell on more selling of big-name technology stocks.

The S&P/ASX200 benchmark index finished lower by 49.1 points, or 0.83 per cent, to 5859.4 points on Friday.

The index was down 1.12 per cent for the week.

The All Ordinaries index lost 51.1 points, or 0.84 per cent, to 6038.9.

The Aussie dollar was buying 72.78 US cents at 1624 AEST, lower from 72.82 US cents at the close on Thursday.
