China’s trade surplus with the US narrowed to $21 billion in February, official data showed Thursday amid rising trade tensions with the Trump administration.
While the figure was down from $21.9 billion in January, the trade surplus is still more than double that of February last year, according to the Chinese customs bureau.
China’s exports to the world surged in February, rising 44.5 percent compared with the same period last year, while import growth was a disappointing 6.3 percent.
