GEM profits fall short on new supply and weak demand growth
Childcare centre operator, G8 Education Ltd (GEM) has posted a largely flat annual profit of $80.6 million; falling $13 million short of the average forecasts of seven industry analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. The result was held back by challenging market conditions including substantial new supply in the industry and continued weak growth in demand.
