Wall Street stocks finished solidly higher Wednesday, rising for a fourth straight session, after weak retail sales data offset investors concerns over a jump in inflation.
At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 24,897.41, up 1.0 percent.
The broad-based S&P 500 gained 1.4 percent to end the session at 2,698.96, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index jumped 1.8 percent to 7,142.34.
