BUY RECOMMENDATIONS

BUY – Sigma Healthcare (SIG)

The healthcare giant reported normalised earnings before interest and tax of $834.5 million in fiscal year 2025, up 41.4 per cent on the prior corresponding period. Beyond the strong earnings, SIG’s result was underpinned by operating cashflow of $599 million, better than expected net debt of $752 million and a positive outlook. SIG has started strongly in fiscal year 2026, with Chemist Warehouse posting double-digit network sales growth and an upgraded synergies target. Furthermore, we continue to expect upside via the international rollout and private label strategies.

BUY – MyState Limited (MYS)

MYS is a national diversified financial services group. Brands include MyState Bank, Auswide Bank, Selfco and TPT Wealth. We view MyState as an attractive income stock with dividends to reflect stronger earnings growth during the next three years as Auswide merger synergies are delivered. In an expensive banking sector with only modest forecast earnings and dividend growth to fiscal year 2028, we believe MYS is a standout.

HOLD RECOMMENDATIONS

HOLD – Shaver Shop Group (SSG)

The company’s fiscal year 2025 result  was largely in line with our expectations with the highlight revealing improving gross profit margins. In a trading update on November 13, unaudited total sales between July 1 and November 10 were up 3.3 per cent on the prior comparative period. Online sales grew 10.8 per cent. Looking forward, new store openings, expansion of its private label offering and new exclusive agreements should drive earnings growth. Given the impressive work to improve its margins and profitability, we expect earnings to consolidate around current levels.

HOLD – Breville Group (BRG)

This kitchen appliance company delivered strong fiscal year 2025 results with net profit after tax of $135.9 million up 14.6 per cent on the prior corresponding period. Revenue of $1.696 billion was up 10.9 per cent. Solid sales momentum is expected in fiscal year 2026, but possibly offset by US tariffs. Price increases and supply chain diversification will assist to mitigate higher costs. While we expect continuing growth in the medium term, the company’s valuation looks full.

SELL RECOMMENDATIONS

SELL – Paladin Energy (PDN)

This uranium producer owns 75 per cent of the Langer Heinrich mine in Namibia. It also owns uranium exploration and development assets in Australia and Canada. The company delivered record production in the September quarter, but sales volumes fell on the previous quarter and prior corresponding period.  Despite a decent result, PDN’s share price recently doubled in the past six months and has outpaced its fundamentals.

SELL – Lynas Rare Earths (LYC)

Lynas is the only significant producer of separated rare earths materials outside of China. Gross sales revenue of $200.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 was up on the prior quarter and the prior corresponding period, but missed consensus. The shares have fallen from $21.64 on October 15 to trade at $15.51 on November 19. In our view, the shares remain overvalued, so investors may want to consider cashing in some gains.

BUY RECOMMENDATIONS

BUY – Haranga Resources (HAR)

HAR is an African focused multi commodity company. The company is progressing the Saraya uranium project in Senegal with a huge historical drill database in excess of 65,000 metres. It also owns the Ibel South gold permit in Senegal within the prolific Kenieba Inlier of the Birmian Formation. Buoyant uranium prices amid gold exploration upside leaves Haranga offering potential upside. The fully permitted Lincoln gold acquisition in California adds options. The risk is typical for small market capitalisation explorers, such as dilution and resource risk, but given a relatively low market capitalisation and large project pipeline, this fits a high-beta resource portfolio.

BUY – Mesoblast (MSB)

Mesoblast develops allogenic cellular medicines for treating severe and life threatening inflammatory conditions. This regeneration therapy company offers growth momentum. Mesoblast’s lead product Ryoncil achieved meaningful revenue growth and now benefits from favourable reimbursement codes in the United States. The company holds a strong cash position of about $US145 million and offers flexibility via a $US50 million convertible note facility to fund the next growth phase. Company commercialisation is progressing and MSB has generated a pipeline of depth.

HOLD RECOMMENDATIONS

HOLD – ADX Energy (ADX)

ADX Energy is an oil and gas explorer and producer, with a strong European focus, operating projects in Austria, Romania and Italy. On the positive side, the company has developed a near-term production asset and a high value prospective gas play in Austria. The recent $3.5 million placement supports upcoming activities and demonstrates investor backing. Operationally, the reliance on successful drilling outcomes and commodity price cycles means substantial execution risk remains. The shares were trading at 2.4 cents on November 19.

HOLD – Golden Dragon Mining (GDR)

Top Australian Brokers

Golden Dragon Mining is a gold and critical minerals explorer. It has three projects in Western Australia, which is geographically favourable for explorers. The company listed on the ASX on October 29 after an over-subscribed public offer. Gold exploration attracts attention in volatile markets. Reverse circulation drilling is set to start at Coodardy, a highly prospective gold target in the Murchison gold fields. Company market capitalisation is modest, so any positive drill hit or re-rating could produce outsized returns. However, as a recently listed explorer, the company carries risk in the absence of meaningful revenue and near term catalysts.

SELL RECOMMENDATIONS

SELL – Starpharma Holdings (SPL)

Starpharma is a biotechnology company. The company has developed a drug delivery platform to enhance the effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs. It recently received an upfront payment of $A8.5 million from Genentech in line with a recently announced licence agreement. The shares have performed strongly, rising from 13 cents on September 19 to trade at 39.5 cents on November 19. The company’s valuation sits at a steep premium relative to peers, indicating lofty expectations are already priced in. The company reported a loss of $10 million in full year 2025. In our view, trimming or exiting positions is prudent given the rapid share price rise.

SELL – Reliance Worldwide Corporation (RWC)

While the business remains a leader in push-to-connect plumbing solutions, the past 12 months have revealed weaker demand in core markets despite net sales increasing 5.5 per cent in full year 2025. However, sales in the Americas fell by 2.1 per cent when compared to the prior corresponding period. The company expects consolidated external sales to be broadly flat to down by single digit percentage points in the first half of 2026 relative to the prior corresponding period. Sales in the Americas are expected to be lower. Uncertainty around US tariffs is weighing on consumer and business sentiment. Market weakness is persistent and currency volatility adds another layer of earnings risk. The shares remain under pressure.

BUY RECOMMENDATIONS

BUY – DroneShield (DRO)

The company provides artificial intelligence based platforms for protection against advanced threats, such as drones and autonomous systems. The shares had enjoyed a strong run, rising from 76 cents on January 3 to close at $6.60 on October 9, driven by new deals with foreign governments and growth forecasts. The shares fell to $2.25 on November 13 and were trading at $2.095 on November 19. Investors sold their shares after disclosures to the ASX revealed DRO directors had been selling their holdings. The company generated strong revenue in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025 and has a strong contract pipeline across government and military sectors. The shares are trading at a reasonable price for a company with growth prospects.

BUY – Broken Hill Mines (BHM)

BHM is one of the few listed companies providing investors with growing exposure to silver production at a time when prices are sitting at all-time highs. The company is moving into a major growth phase, backed by strong drilling results at the Pinnacles mine and a fresh $38.5 million capital raise at $1 a share to support development. With higher silver prices, expanding resources and near term production upside, we believe the market is undervaluing BHM at recent levels.

HOLD RECOMMENDATIONS

HOLD – CSL (CSL)

Uncertainty continues to surround this biopharmaceutical giant after the share price plunged following its 2025 results. It recently cut revenue and profit growth forecasts for fiscal year 2026. Its Seqirus influenza vaccines division is under pressure from a decline in vaccination rates in the US. However, plans to reduce fixed costs and enhance efficiencies were initially earmarked to save more than $500 million by fiscal year 2028. The company is undertaking a buy-back program of up to $750 million in fiscal year 2026. CSL shares have fallen from $271.32 on August 18 to trade at $178.82 on November 19. At these levels, we suggest holding CSL and monitor performance of a company that has a solid track record of performance over the longer term.

HOLD – Xero (XRO)

XRO is a global accounting software provider. The company delivered operating revenue of $NZ1.194 billion for the six months ending September 30, 2025, up 20 per cent on the prior corresponding period. Net profit after tax of $NZ134.78 million was up 42 per cent. The company completed an institutional placement of $1.85 billion in June to fund the company’s acquisition of Melio, a US business-to-business payments platform. The US is a key expansion market for future earnings, but small to medium sized enterprises are under pressure. The shares have fallen from $194.21 on June 24 to trade at $121.18 on November 19. At these levels, investors can continue to hold, but should monitor developments, particularly in the US.

SELL RECOMMENDATIONS

SELL – Super Retail Group (SUL)

The retail giant’s brands include Supercheap Auto, Macpac, Rebel and BCF.  In our view, Super Retail’s profit outlook is modest, with few signs of accelerating growth amid challenging consumer trends. The dividend yield is a bright spot, but overall, retail exposure is better gained through JB Hi-Fi or Wesfarmers, which we believe offer stronger brands, wider margins and better scale advantages. Downside risk outweighs the upside without a near-term turnaround.

SELL – Collins Foods (CKF)

The company operates hundreds of KFC outlets in Australia and Europe. The company announced in April 2025 that it was exiting the underperforming Taco Bell business. Revenue growth in Australia in full year 2025 was partially offset by softness in Europe. Statutory net profit after tax of $8.8 million was down 88.5 per cent. In our view, fast food peer Guzman Y Gomez presents as a stronger brand with superior momentum. We recommend switching to category leaders while CKF’s story remains in transition.
