Greatland Resources (GGP) Hits 52-Week High

The company’s shares have surged nearly 10% year-to-date, reflecting investor confidence in Greatland’s growth trajectory. The stock’s recent peak marks a significant milestone, underscoring the positive impact of increased production and a healthy cash balance.

In the December 2025 quarter, Greatland Resources reported production of 86,273 ounces of gold and 3,528 tonnes of copper, representing increases of 6.7% and 4.8%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter. First-half 2026 production reached 167,163 ounces of gold and 6,894 tonnes of copper. Gold sales for the quarter totaled 72,212 ounces, with copper sales at 3,301 tonnes. The company’s all-in sustaining costs (AISC) are yet to be finalized and will be disclosed in the full December quarterly activities report.

Greatland Resources ended the quarter with $948 million in cash, a substantial increase from $750 million at the end of September. This $198 million cash build occurred after accounting for capital expenditure and a $46 million stamp duty payment related to the Telfer-Havieron acquisition. Excluding this one-off payment, the underlying cash increase was $244 million. The company remains debt-free and unhedged, retaining full upside exposure to gold prices while maintaining downside protection through gold put options.

The company’s dual listing on the ASX, which commenced in June 2025, has broadened its investor base and enhanced its capital markets profile. Following the ASX listing, Macquarie Group initiated coverage with an “outperform” rating and a target price of $7.80 per share.

“Greatland Resources…ends December quarter with AUD 948 million cash,” reported Kalkine.com.au, highlighting the company’s robust financial health.

Looking ahead, Greatland Resources plans an extensive drilling program in FY2026, including 150 kilometers of growth drilling and 90 kilometers of conversion drilling, focusing on expanding resources at the Telfer and Havieron sites.
