4DMedical Limited shares (ASX:4DX) experienced a boost today following the completion of a AU$150 million capital raising, intended to accelerate the commercialization of its CT:VQ™ technology. The placement follows a volatile period for the stock, marked by significant gains and subsequent pullbacks. The 4DMedical share price closed up 5.59% at A$4.53, to make 4DX the leading performer on the ASX200 today.

This positive movement comes after a trading halt and a period of market fluctuation, including a sharp 10.13% decline on January 5, 2026, which was partially offset by a 15.52% gain the previous day. Despite the volatility, 4DMedical has demonstrated substantial growth, with gains of 11.85% since the beginning of 2026 and an impressive 85% increase over the past month.

The AU$150 million was raised through a share placement priced at A$3.80 per share. This capital injection is earmarked for expanding 4DMedical’s presence in the U.S. market. In December 2025, 4DMedical also expanded its distribution agreement with Philips, securing a minimum US$10 million order commitment for CT:VQ™ over 2026 and 2027. This partnership aims to accelerate adoption of 4DMedical’s technology across North America.

Following FDA clearance in September 2025, several leading U.S. medical centers, including Stanford University, the University of Miami, and the Cleveland Clinic, have integrated CT:VQ™ into their clinical workflows. Furthermore, in October 2025, 4DMedical secured AU$22.6 million through the exercise of options and received a AU$10 million strategic investment from Pro Medicus, along with a AU$6 million R&D Tax Incentive. As of June 30, 2025, the company’s pro forma cash balance stood at AU$45.5 million.

While revenue has increased, 4DMedical reported a loss of AU$19.17 million in 1HFY25, compared to a loss of AU$15.61 million in 1HFY24, highlighting ongoing financial challenges as the company invests in growth.
