Australia’s share market has finished higher after mining and energy giants gained on rising commodity prices. The S&P/ASX200 benchmark index closed higher by 40.9 points, or 0.68 per cent, at 6042.2 points on Thursday, while the All Ordinaries index closed higher by 44.4 points, or 0.72 per cent, at 6180.3. The Australian dollar was buying 72.12 US cents at 1620 AEST, up from 71.79 US cents at Wednesday’s close.
