* New locally acquired cases: 262 (up 29 on previous 24-hour period)

* Infectious while in the community (partly or fully): At least 72 (up four, with 80 cases still under investigation)

* In hotel quarantine: Six (+5)

* Total for outbreak (since June 16): 4319

* Total in NSW for entire COVID-19 pandemic: 9866

* In hospital: 290 (+4)

* In intensive care: 51 (-2)

* Ventilated: 24 (+1)

* Deaths in current outbreak 22 (+5)

* Deaths in NSW for entire pandemic: 78

* Tests conducted (over 24-hour reporting period): 106,954

* Vaccinations (in NSW on Wednesday): 83,620

* NSW’s vaccination status (aged 16 and over): 43.78 per cent have had one dose, 21.04 per cent are fully vaccinated

* Borders: Greater Sydney residents are not permitted to visit regional NSW unless for essential activity, and cannot freely enter any other Australian state or territory. Residents of the NSW Hunter are also barred from visiting other parts of regional NSW unless essential. Travel restrictions for residents of regional NSW vary depending on state.
