Share prices have climbed early on the Australian Stock Exchange as most industry sectors added more than one per cent amid easing tensions between Iran and the US.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 56.1 points, or 0.82 per cent, to 6873.7 points at 1015 AEDT on Thursday, while the broader All Ordinaries was up 55 points, or 0.79 per cent, to 6985.1 points.
Afterpay was a big mover, up 84 points, or 2.79 per cent, to $30.92.
CSL also had a good early gain of 1.64 per cent to $290.54.
The Australian dollar was buying 68.68 US cents, down from 69.73 US cents at Wednesday’s close.
