The Australian share market has closed higher in a broad rally, the local bourse’s fourth straight day of gains.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index closed up 60.9 points, or 0.95 per cent, to 6,443.9 points at 1615 AEST on Friday, while the broader All Ordinaries was up 58.8 points, or 0.91 per cent, to 6,525.2.

The Aussie dollar is buying 69.72 US cents, unchanged from 69.72 US cents on Thursday.
