The Australian share market is expected to open slightly higher after a positive lead from overseas.
The SPI200 futures contract was up 9 points, or 0.14 per cent, at 6,664.0 at 0800 AEST, suggesting a small rise for the benchmark S&P/ASX200 on Thursday.
Wall Street finished higher overnight after the US central bank kept interest rates on hold.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 0.15 per cent, the S&P 500 was up 0.30 per cent and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was up 0.42 per cent.
The Aussie dollar is buying 68.85 US cents from 68.76 US cents on Wednesday.
