The Australian share market is expected to open slightly higher.

The SPI200 futures contract was up 12 points, or 0.18 per cent, at 6,565.0 at 0700 AEST, suggesting a positive start for the benchmark S&P/ASX200 on Wednesday.

Wall Street finished flat overnight, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.05 per cent, the S&P 500 down 0.03 per cent and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite down 0.01 per cent.

The Aussie dollar is buying 69.62 US cents from 69.55 US cents on Tuesday.
