Australia’s share market finished higher but closed early after problems with data stopped trade after just 24 minutes of the session.
The S&P/ASX200 benchmark index closed up 79.0 points, or 1.23 per cent, to 6484.3 on Monday.
The All Ordinaries gained 77.6 points, or 1.17 per cent, to 6687.0.
The ASX said it decided to pause trade due to the data issues.
Later, it said equity markets would not open for the remainder of Monday, but trading would resume at 1000 AEDT on Tuesday.
The Aussie dollar was buying 72.89 US cents at 1533 AEDT, up from 72.30 US cents at Friday’s close.
