52 Week Lows

Last week 35 stocks with market caps over $100 million dollars hit 52 Week Lows. This week’s list shrunk to eleven companies, among them was one of the ASX’s largest stocks – CSL Limited (CSL). E-commerce software provider for the hotel industry SiteMinder Limited (SDR) posting a 52 Week Low for the second consecutive week. The modest losses on the ASX 200 this week punctuated by brief rallies may have contributed to the reduction in companies hitting 52 Week Lows.

Bargain hunters may be attracted to CSL, a long-time stalwart on the ASX, and the outsized share price drop from Monash IVF Group. Here is the list.

52 Week Highs

With gold hitting another all-time high and both the stock and bond markets in turmoil, it is little wonder this week’s list of companies hitting 52 Week Highs was dominated by gold stocks. Of the fifteen stocks with market caps over $100 million making the list, eleven are gold explorers or miners.

Top Ten gold miner Northern Star Resources (NST) along with Capricorn Metals (CYL:) and Regis Resources (RRL) hit 52 Week Highs for the second week in a row while competitor Evolution Mining (EVN) returned to the list after skipping a week.  Some growth investors subscribe to the ‘Buy High, Sell Higher’ investing philosophy and at the moment these four miners may qualify.
