BNO – BIONOMICS – up 54.17 per cent, or 6.5 cents, to 18.5 cents The Adelaide-based biopharmaceutical company reported that its drug candidate BNC210 had successfully been used to treat symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder in a trial of 193 patients in Australia and the US.

The company says it will approach the US Food and Drug Administration about the design of another trial and whether the drug is eligible for a ‘fast track’ designation for a quick review.

The garbage handler says it will miss its forecasts for first-half building-waste growth due to slowing construction activity.

It now expects its earnings to be about the same as last year, rather than the 15 to 20 per cent growth previously forecast.

XAM – XANADU MINES – up 16.67 per cent, or 1.5 cents, to 10.5 cents

BOQ – BANK OF QUEENSLAND – down 6.33 per cent, or 63 cents, to $9.32

The bank said it expects its earnings for the half-year to be between $165 million to $170 million, 6 to 9 per cent less than the $182 million it earned a year ago.

NWL – NETWEALTH GROUP LTD – up 7 per cent, or 49 cents, to $7.49

The investment portfolio platform said its profit had increased 10.6 per cent, to $16.3 million, and that it had gained more market share than any other platform in the 12 months to September.

It said it also would benefit from recommendations from the royal commission, such as the phasing-out of grandfathered commissions.

NHF – NIB HOLDINGS LTD – down 2.41 per cent, or 14 cents, to $5.68

The health insurer’s total underlying revenue for the six months to December 31 rose by 9 per cent to $1.21 billion, despite an environment of tighter discretionary spending.

ANN – ANSELL LTD – up 4.09 per cent, or 99 cents, to $25.21

The global health and manufacturer said its profits were down but slightly lifted its full-year earnings guidance as it is poised for stronger growth..
