BRG – BREVILLE GROUP LTD – up 18.01 per cent, or $2.15, to $14.09

The kitchen appliance giant said its first-half profit rose 19.7 per cent, to $43.5 million. It will pay an 18.5 cent interim dividend, 60 per cent franked, up from 16.5 cents this time.

FMS – FLINDERS MINES – up 33.33 per cent, or 1.2 cents, to 4.8 cents.

The government Takeovers Panel has accepted Flinders’ revised proposal to delist from the ASX after the company agreed to buy back 10 per cent of its shares, off market, at the fixed price of 7.5 cents a share.

CWY – CLEANAWAY WASTE MANAGEMENT LTD – up 13.11 per cent, or 25.5 cents, to $2.20.

Australia’s largest waste management company said its net profits after tax were up 35.1 per cent, to $60.8 million. It declared a dividend of 1.65 cents a share, a 50 per cent increase.

NGI – NAVIGATOR GLOBAL LTD – up 10.07 per cent, or 30 cents, to $3.28

The owner of US-based global fund manager Lighthouse Investment Partners said its earnings had risen 25 per cent, to $20.1 million. It declared an interim dividend of 8 US cents a share, down 1 cent from its last dividend.

AMP – AMP LTD – down 7.79 per cent, or 19 cents, to $2.25

The beleaguered wealth manager slashed its dividend after its full-year profit plummeted 97 per cent to just $28 million. The firm suffered damage to its reputation after being roasted by the financial services royal commission for misconduct.

S32 – SOUTH32 LTD – up 3.54 per cent, or 13 cents, to $3.80

The pPerth mining and metals company has posted an 18 per cent rise in half-year underlying profit and declared an interim dividend of 5.1 US cents per share, up from 3.6 cents per share a year ago, along with a special dividend of 1.7 US cents a share.

EXP – EXPERIENCE CO LTD – up 23.81 per cent, or 5 cents, to 26 cents.

Shares in the the adventure tourism company rebounded after falling 20.75 per cent on Wednesday following news its chief executive had quit and its earnings would be less than expected because of bad weather in Queensland.

GMG – GOODMAN GROUP – up 4.25 per cent, or 51 cents, to $12.51.

The commercial and industrial property group said its operating profit was up 10.4 per cent, to $465 million. It declared a dividend of 15 cents per stapled security, up 9.1 per cent.

MFG – MAGELLAN FINANCIAL GRP LTD – up 9.9 per cent, or $2.89, to $32.09

The funds manager increased its dividends by two-thirds on a 62 per cent lift in first-half profit, to $176.3 million.

SUN – SUNCORP GROUP LTD – down 3.78 per cent, or 51 cents, to $12.98

The financial services provider reported a 45 per cent decline in first-half profit following a jump in weather-related claims, to $250 million. It declared a fully franked dividend down seven cents, to 26 cents.
