An online retailer’s fancy footwork to skirt a refund or exchange on a peeling pair of leather boots is just one of the thousands of complaints to Victoria’s consumer watchdog.

ConsumerAffairsVictoria said on Sunday 8957onlineshoppingreports had been received in 2017/18, up 12 per cent on the previous financial year.

Goods not being supplied or partially supplied, refund and return rights and defects have been found to be the issues for shoppers opting to go online.
