Stocks of interest at the close of trade on the ASX on Friday, November 30:

MYR – MYER HOLDINGS – up 2.5 cents, or 5.8 per cent, to 45.5 cents

Myer was one of the few gainers on the Australian market despite being handed a second strike on executive pay, but the struggling department store chain looks set to avoid a board spill.

GFY – GODFREYS GROUP – unchanged at 33.25 cents

Godfreys owner John Johnston has died aged 100, just months after he bought back the vacuum cleaner retailer he first joined in 1936.

CCL – COCA-COLA AMATIL – down $1.46, or 14.5 per cent, to $8.64

Coca-Cola Amatil has decided to sell SPC following a review of the Victorian food unit, saying it aimed to offload IXL jam and Taylor’s marinades as part of the move.

TWE – TREASURY WINE ESTATE – down 70 cents, or 4.7 per cent, to $14.15

COL – COLES GROUP – down 68 cents, or 5.5 per cent, to $11.71

WOW – WOOLWORTHS GROUP – down 91 cents, or 3.1 per cent, to $28.92

The consumer staples suffered the biggest losses on the Australian share market, with a sector-wide loss of more than four per cent.
