WBC – WESTPAC BANK – down $1.50, or 5.41 per cent, to $26.24

Westpac shares fell more than five per cent after going ex-dividend on Tuesday.

SUN – SUNCORP – down 28 cents, or two per cent, to $13.72

Suncorp Group has postponed the targeted close of the $725 million sale of its Australian life insurance business to Japan’s Dai-ichi Life, citing the timing of regulatory approvals.

RHL – RURALCO – up 21 cents, or 7.22 per cent, to $3.12

Agribusiness agency Ruralco says diversification in the face of a crippling east coast drought has helped lift its full-year profit 12 per cent to $25.18 million.

IPL – INCITEC PIVOTAL – down 22 cents, or 5.2 per cent, to $4.01

Incitec Pivot’s full-year profit has fallen 34.8 per cent to $207.9 million as a result of the large first half impairment against its explosives services business.

COH – COCHLEAR – down $7.43, or 4.23 per cent, to $168.02

Medical device company Cochlear announced it had invested $21 million in Nyxoah SA, a company which makes a nerve stimulation therapy device for the treatment of sleep apnoea.
