Beverages giant Coca-Cola has added a rainbow of coloured water to its rivers of gold with a minority stake in an Australian drinks company.

The US-based Coca-Cola Company has purchased a 45 per cent stake in Made Group in a joint acquisition with local drinks distributor Coca-Cola Amatil.

Made’s range of products includes a range of health-drinks including cold-pressed juices, dairy drinks, coconut water and cold-brew coffee. It also owns NutrientWater, its first product launched in 2005.

The deal, for an undisclosed sum, will see co-founders Luke Marget and Matt Dennis remain in charge of the business as it reaps the benefits of Cocoa-Cola Amatil’s vast distribution network.
