Queensland’s Energy and Water Ombudsman Jane Pires has been appointed the state’s first Land Access Ombudsman.

In her new role Ms Pires will be an avenue for landholders and resource companies to resolve disputes over conduct and compensation agreements.

Queensland’s Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Minister Anthony Lynham says the LAO office will give an alternative to legal action for industry and landholders.
