Struggling Victorian farmers will get another $5 million in drought relief from the state government.

The package includes funding for infrastructure, technical and business support and for ‘off-farm work’ with local catchment management authorities for workers in the Wellington and East Gippsland shires.

‘We know some farmers are doing it tough and conditions are dry – that’s why we’re taking action and investing in these initiatives to give these communities the support that they need,’ Agriculture Minister Jaala Pulford said on Wednesday.
