Stocks making moves or news on the ASX at the close on Monday, August 20:

ANN – Ansell – down $2.01, or 7.2 per cent, to $25.80

Ansell shares slid after the protective gloves and clothing maker warned that its annual earnings guidance could fall, citing uncertainty over costs and tariffs on US imports.

GXL – Greencross – down 9 cents, or 2.1 per cent, to $4.14

Shares in Greencross jumped after the vet care and pet services group showed a halving of statutory profit but an improved comparable sales performance.

WOW – Woolworths – down 19 cents, or 0.6 per cent, to $29.41

Woolworths delivered a 12.5 per cent jump in annual net profit to $1.7 billion but says supermarket sales in the new financial year have been hampered by its ban on single-use plastic bags.

SWM – Seven West Media – up one cent, or one per cent, to $1.065

BHP – BHP Billiton – up 43 cents, or 1.3 per cent, to $33.17

Seven West Media and BHP are reporting full-year results on Tuesday, August 21.
