Stocks of interest on the Australian share market on Wednesday:
BHP – BHP – up $1.07, or 3.3 per cent, at $33.57
BHP posted record iron ore output for 2017/18 on Wednesday as fourth-quarter production topped expectations and set a slightly higher target for the current year.
CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK – up 53 cents, or 0.7 per cent, at $75.02
Commonwealth Bank’s Bankwest unit is closing 29 branches along Australia’s east coast and cutting 200 jobs, saying customers are increasingly using mobile banking.
KTD – KEYTONE DAIRY – up 16 cents, or 80 per cent, at 36 cents.
New Zealand-based dairy producer Keytone Dairy jumped on its first day of trading on the ASX, adding 16 cents to its 20 cent issue price with a healthy 73 million shares traded.
