Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange:

AGL – AGL ENERGY – up 23 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $21.52

AGL has refused Alinta Energy’s $250 million offer to buy Liddell Power Station and reaffirmed its decision to close the plant in 2022.

STO – SANTOS – up 11 cents, or 1.8 per cent, at $6.36

US private equity firm Harbour Energy has raised its bid for Santos to about $US10.9 billion ($A14.5 billion) on condition the local energy firm increases its oil price hedging for the next two years.

TLS – TELSTRA CORP – down five cents, or 1.8 per cent, at $2.80

Telstra says it has fixed its 4G services but is dealing with a backlog of customers after the telco suffered its second widespread network outage in a month.

VOC – VOCUS GROUP – up 10 cents, or 4.2 per cent, at $2.46
