Global toll roads operator Macquarie Atlas Roads says three of its four roads generated higher toll revenue and traffic volumes during the March quarter.
The APRR and Adelac tollways in France, and the Warnow Tunnel in Germany lifted performance.
But the Dulles Greenway toll road in the US suffered from the earlier timing of the spring break holiday, federal government shutdowns and adverse weather conditions.
Quarterly toll revenue across all Macquarie Atlas’s road assets lifted by 5.4 per cent, and traffic volumes rose by 3.4 per cent, compared to the prior corresponding period.
The gains reflected greater aggregate traffic levels, mainly on the APRR, and toll increases.
The APRR benefited from favourable economic conditions in France, an extra school holiday weekend after the New Year and an earlier Easter, and road improvements.
Macquarie Atlas securities were steady at $5.91 at 1105 AEST.
