THE STOCKIES - FORUMS

The Stockies is a running poll held on the TheBull website for two months. This timeframe lends traders and investors sufficient opportunity to cast their vote for their favourite online broker.

Traders and investors were asked to select the “best” across various categories.  Many voters also gave feedback to TheBull on their selection.

The polling software automatically collated the voting in real-time, and voting closed on Sunday 6 December 2009.

The voters have spoken in the 2010 Stockies awards, which declare and reveal the very best online brokers in the investment industry. TheBull.com.au let you, the very people who use the products and services of online brokers in Australia, decide the winners by casting a vote during the popular campaign.

Top online brokers competed in the following categories - shares, options, margin lending, warrants, CFDs, forex, futures and forum.

TheBull.com.au Stockies awards are set firmly in the tradition that traders and investors are the best judge of the top online firms to deal with in Australia.

Many thousands of votes have been counted, so here are the winners.

Aussie Stock Forums

Aussie Stock Forums describes winning The Stockies for second year in a row as a “great honour”.

Forum administrator Joe says he believes members and visitors appreciate the real sense of community at Aussie Stock Forums and the high standards set for behaviour and posting. “The depth of discussion at ASF has meant that it has become a great resource over the years with threads on literally thousands of topics related to the stock market and trading/investing,” Joe says. “I'd like to thank everyone who voted for Aussie Stock Forums as well as those who lobbied on our behalf.”

Note: Winners were chosen by traders and investors by voting for their favourite providers over a period of two months and do not constitute a recommendation on behalf of TheBull.com.au. All voting was tracked for irregularities via sophisticated monitoring software as well as checked manually on a daily basis. Overseas votes were not counted.

Voting closed at midnight on Sunday 6th December 2009, at which time TheBull.com.au ran a final check to validate all votes. Winners were announced shortly thereafter.
